Job Title: Assistant Director-Admissions
Nature of Work
Assist in the development and implementation of a student recruitment strategy with specialization focus area. Involves recruiting students, recording student data, and travel.
Examples of Work Performed
Responsible for participating in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for Graduate, Para Pro program, Masters Cohorts or other assigned programs.
Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective graduate students or assigned groups, and collaborates with employers, school districts, and other off-campus constituents.
Create and maintain personalized communications to promote all graduate and assigned programs to varied populations.
Assure coordination of recruitment initiatives and admission activities across campus.
Actively recruit for assigned populations and meet enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment area
Collaborates with faculty and staff regarding recruitment, admissions, records, marketing, and orientation initiatives for the graduate program and assigned groups.
Collaborate to establishing purposeful partnerships with higher educational institutions, area school districts and other stake holders in the community.
Establish a graduate and assigned groups presence for recruiting events and campus visits.
Using enrollment data, this position reports on graduate and assigned groups admissions outcomes and effectiveness.
Develop reports and statistics regarding enrollment, graduation and retention, and other matters as appropriate.
Secondary duties:
Advise and participate in graduate student committee work
Maintain appropriate follow-up communication with students
Occasional travel, evening, and weekend hours required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or admissions work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous recruiting experience
Previous experience with Graduate Programs
Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.
